Managing Your Money in Baccarat

Playing baccarat comes with gaming action that is almost even in odds. This game has been played traditionally with high stakes from players, and thus, high-rollers are the most common players which can be seen playing the game. If you are used to this style of playing, you will always notice that when you play baccarat in live casinos, you win and lose at a pace that is too fast, almost comparable to how fast a craps game is.

When online baccarat was introduced to online casino gaming, the game style changed much, particularly in the stakes being risked. This is due to the table limits that are offered by the game at a very much lower stakes, compared to live baccarat games. If you are a high-stake player, you will find it hard to make big profits within just a short streak of correct bets.

Baccarat Betting Odds and Number of Decks

Bets in Baccarat

There are 4 known bets in baccarat. They are the bets on the BANKER, PLAYER, TIE, and PAIR. Betting on the banker means that you’ll win 95% of your wager if the banker wins, lose if the player wins, and a push if the banker and the player ties. On a player bet, you’ll win even money if the player wins, lose if the banker wins, and push on a tie. If you bet on a tie (which is mostly avoided by baccarat experts), you’ll be paid 8:1 if the player and the banker ties, and will lose your bet if either one of them wins. The bet on pair is a side bet that wins 11:1 if there is a pair and lose if there is none.

Baccarat can be played by using 1, 6, or 8 standard 52-card decks, and each bet have slightly different odds based on the number of decks used in the game. Players also have slightly better winning odds on lower number of decks, and as the number of decks increases, the edge of the casino also increases for the banker and player bets and decreases for tie and pair bets.
