Many countries have come to the recognization that online casinos are some what inevitable and are just another harmless pastime. For this reason, is there really any reason in trying to stop the online casino industry? They don’t think so, and instead work to facilitate the online gambling world as best possible. Other countries however don’t acknowledge online gambling as an acceptable and legal pastime. These nations work hard to try and ban, filter and block online casinos from being accessed. However they also institute gambling monopolies. Some countries even penalize online gamblers, but all these implementations fail to reduce online gambling successfully.

Gambling Online

There aren’t actually any real ways to stop online gambling, after all gambler online can always use foreign casinos on the web rather than in their own country – and so many nations have now accepted online gambling as a pastime that is legal. By accepting this legal pastime they can now profit from effective protection from a market that is regulated. Gambling taxes result in valuable extra income streams for governments. The US however have unsuccessfully blocked transactions with many online gambling sites offshore. At the same time Australia are trying hard to install censorship and ISP filters that are extensive and expensive measures. Plus this can be classed as a violation of freedom when using the internet.

Hopeless Fight

Alongside Australia and the US there are many similar cases elsewhere. China also attempts to censor the web from its users. In China this censorship can often succeed due to the very stringent control of the Chinese government. Elsewhere there are several nations within the EU who infringe European policies. They prefer to keep foreign websites out of the market and promote the monopolies. It’s quite amazing that these countries don’t instead welcome online gambling as a major and legal hobby. All the attempts to ban or block online casinos are hopeless and a waste of time and money!

New Jersey is trying to put life back into the diminishing gambling revenues of the casinos in Atlantic City. The state is trying to increase the revenue by discussing the ability to gamble online and bet on sports. There will be a vote to put a proposal into force in autumn. Some legislators are against a bill of the nature and do not want to promote the use of casinos online. The politicians have also put together their own preferences regarding the issue to try to cash in on the benefits.

The Casino Association of New jersey prefers not to have a law that allows gambling on the internet but is still considering the possibility of allowing this and the benefits it may hold. Voters will decide if the federal law should be overturned in the state. Many voters will also submit their opinions on their gambling preferences and what they would like to see take place. There opinions will be collected to decide whether expansion of gambling is ideal or not.

Because of the recession, gambling profits and casino attendees have decreased since all individuals are watching their budgets. Some casinos are in danger of closing because of the decreased sales. This is the reason for the proposed introduction of new gambling legislation and more options to choose from when going to places that entertain gambling.

Though the possibilities of regulating gambling in New Jersey may not be strong, there is still a chance of overcoming this barrier by voicing public opinions related to the matter. The end result will be influenced by what the public wants. The legislation will have a direct effect on the ailing casinos in Atlantic City. There are eleven casinos for visitor’s entertainment pleasure.
